Mar 24- Arizona has announced the squad that will welcome in-state rival Arizona State to Sitton Field for the final match of the season.

 

Head Coach Tatum Quimby and the Wildcats will look to end the season on a high note and bounce back from last week’s loss to BYU. 

In the forwards, the lock duo of Mylie Stones and Ruby Trella look to continue their strong partnership as they anchor the lineout and the scrum while providing a spark in the loose play. Teo Barney, one of the three seniors in the squad, will play her final game in the jersey alongside fellow senior Indie Jacobi.

 

In the backs, the due of Amelie Umholtz and Nora McCarthy gives the Wildcats a building block in the 9/10 combo for the short and long term. Paige Brodowitz, the third senior in the side will aim to finish her Wildcat career on a high at Sitton Field.

 

While the Wildcats are going through a rebuild under their first-year coach, the team has shown great strides throughout the season and has identified a number of building blocks for future seasons. This weekend though, the focus is on defeating their rival, and Quimby knows her team is up to the challenge that this match will require. "This will be a fun weekend as we honor our seniors at their last home game. The team has come so far this season and we've got a strong lineup ready to take on ASU" said Quimby.
