ARIZONA LOOKS TO BOUNCE BACK VS LOPES
Indie Jacobi and the Wildcats look to build on positives from last week.
Feb 10- Arizona will look to get their season back on track as they make a trip up the road to Phoenix to take on Grand Canyon University, with Head Coach Tatum Quimby naming the side today.
Fresh off a loss last week to UCLA, Quimby pointed to the response in training as a sign of things to come for this young side. "I'm impressed with their response and how they have been stepping up and taking their personal development seriously" said Quimby.
The Wildcats have made a few changes to the team, with Co-Captain Ruby Trella returning to the lineup and anchoring the second row alongside standout Mylie Stones. The halfback combination of Amelie Umholtz and Nora McCarthy will be a new duo for a side that will be looking to get its attack pattern firing against an always tough GCU side. Talia Ben-Yosef continues to play a key role for the Wildcats, with hard running, dogged defense, and great leadership for the Widlcats.
Arizona (0-2) last met Grand Canyon during the preseason, with the Lopes handing the Cats their lone loss of the Fall. To respond, it will take a team effort and one that Quimby knows that the team is up for. "This weekend will be a chance for us to try new things and show that we're not shy when it comes to stepping up against a tough opponent."
