Oct 20- Arizona looks to put their strong preseason progress to the test on Saturday as the Wildcats host Grand Canyon at Sitton Field on Saturday. Head Coach Tatum Quimby has named another strong lineup for the side that looks to build on their 1-0 record after taking down New Mexico State earlier this month.

"Heading into game two I'd really like to see the team continue to read and seize opportunities. We've really expanded on defensive structure and responsibilities over the past few weeks and this is a chance to stress-test our system and work out the issues. GCU is a tough opponent and I think that keeping a cool head and communicating while under pressure will help us succeed." said Quimby. A key point of emphasis for the team has been culture, as the mix of young talent, returners, and crossover athletes looks to gel in to one cohesive unit. "We all value and have a lot of trust in each other and that translates to success on the pitch. Everyone gives it their all for their teammates and we know we can rely on one another. We're a family on and off the pitch" said Lock Ruby Trella.

Grand Canyon comes in to the contest after opening against Arizona State to kick off their preseason earlier in the week. With the teams just 90 minutes apart, the programs are set for two contests this Fall as both teams prepare for the 2023 season.

Arizona Rugby will broadcast the match live from William David Sitton Field.
