Jan 28- Arizona has named the side that will get their season underway as they welcome UC-San Diego to Sitton Field.

Tatum Quimby has named a young and talented side that will look to start the year 1-0 in front of their home fans. The Wildcats are coming off a strong 2-1 preseason in Quimby's first year and have shown great promise under their first-year coach.

Up front, the second row pairing of Ruby Trella and Callie Andrews will look to lead the Forwards with their strong loose play and set piece. Hooker Indie Jacobi and Flanker Teo Barney are the lone Seniors in the starting side, giving the Wildcats a great young core to build around.

In the backs, Sylvia and Sophia Bruzga give the Wildcats a twin attacking threat while Talia Ben-Yosef looks to continue her strong form from the Fall preseason. After a strong semester of athlete development a number of impact subs are ready when calle upon, with all eight being just first or second year athletes.

With a young squad, Quimby points to the key moments in training where things are starting to click. “Coaches all love witnessing those lightbulb moments where things really start to click. I want each player to go out there with confidence that they’ve worked hard in the preseason and deserve to be there, regardless of experience level” said Quimby.

The Wildcats will broadcast the match live for their fans here.
