July 14- A new program-high has been set for the program as ten Wildcats have been voted all-conference by the league’s coaches.

In the front row, the All-PAC-12 trio of Harry Bluck, Zach Barker, and Dalton Slaughter all earned honors, with the Loosehead from Cardiff, Wales earning first team. 2023 Players’ Player of the Year James Rivers gives the Wildcats two tight five first team selections, while Jack Brown and Jack Bresland each earned second team.

In a season where he also earned the David Sitton Award as the team’s most impactful Sevens player, George O’Brien earns first-team all conference, following in the footsteps of Matt Rogers in 2019 and 2020. The center duo of Mattox King (second team) and EJ Freeman (first team) gives the Wildcats a great deal to look forward to with both players returning next season. Another key returner, Jacob Broselle, makes it five Wildcats in the first team selections after a big year for the speedster from Washington.

“We are in one of the strongest conferences in the country, so to earn these honors from coaches speaks volumes. We are proud of all ten, especially the seniors who end their careers on a high note with that recognition from their opponents” said Director of Rugby Sean Duffy. The ten selections is the most for the program since the conference began, and breaks the prior mark of seven selections in 2018.
