Mar 4-  Arizona showcased its continued growth and cohesion Saturday, delivering a strong performance in a tightly contested match against SDSU before ultimately falling 27–22.

 

The Wildcats were led by a determined senior group competing in their final match, setting the tone with physicality and resilience throughout an end-to-end contest that remained undecided until the closing moments.

 

SDSU opened the scoring with an early try, but Arizona responded quickly as Molly Chisholm finished to even the match. Arizona then took the lead in the 24th minute, with Chisholm crossing for her second try of the half. SDSU answered late in the period with tries in the 31st and 38th minutes, taking a 17–10 advantage into halftime.

Arizona responded in the second half with composure and execution. In the 56th minute, Chisholm completed her hat trick and added the conversion to level the score at 17–17. SDSU regained the lead shortly after, but Arizona once again answered through sustained forward play and efficient ball movement. After building phases through the middle, the Wildcats shifted the ball wide, where openside flanker Finley Korn finished on the edge to tie the match at 22–22.

The final quarter saw both sides trade possession in a physical battle for control. SDSU ultimately broke through in the closing minutes to regain the lead. Arizona responded with sustained pressure deep in SDSU territory, working through multiple phases inside the 22 as time extended beyond regulation. Despite several close opportunities, a late penalty allowed SDSU to clear and secure the 27–22 result.
