Feb 3- Arizona's Women have named the side that will take on UCLA tomorrow on the road, with newly-named captain Sylvia Bruzga leading the side that looks to bounce back from last week's narrow loss to UC-San Diego.
Up front, standout Forward Mylie Stones moves in to the second row and looks to build on a strong performance in week one. Head Coach Tatum Quimby has made sevens changes from last week's side, with Stones' move clearing the way for Shelby Cantrell and Olivia Hajdys to move into the lineup.
In the backs, speedster Brooklyn Swearingen moves to Fullback as the Wildcats look to play an up-tempo style against an always tough UCLA side. In the reserves, another speedster in Emma Cook is among a group of impact subs that will look to make their presence felt when called upon.
For Quimby, the goal in week two is to build off of the positives that came form last week with her young team. "I'm happy with the team's progress and commitment both on and off the pitch. Everyone is getting more comfortable and working as a unit. This weekend I'm hoping to see us become more dynamic on attack as we become more familiar with the pattern." said Quimby.
OPPONENT PREVIEW: UCLA
UCLA (1-1) comes in to the match fresh off a 55-7 victory over Cal State-Northridge and a loss to Arizona State. Both teams look to be contending in the tough Pacific Desert Conference with an eye on a spot in national championships.
