Grigoriou  look to assist the USA side defend home turf against Canada.

December 28- A young Wildcat has received special recognition this week as Anton Grigoriou has been named to the USA Under-19 team. The Flyhalf will look to contribute to the USA side in their two match series against Canada at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California this coming week.

The selection for Grigoriou marks the end to a sterling first semester for the Freshman, as he recently concluded the Men's Junior All American Camp last week and was a key part of the Arizona Sevens pool, helping them to their first West Coast Sevens title. Grigoriou concluded a decorated high school career last Spring with Back Bay RFC (CA), winning the Southern California title and being named a High School All American for the third time.

For Grigoriou, the selection is a humbling experience and one he is looking forward to. "I'm honored to be selected and looking forward to representing my university and my country against Canada" said Grigoriou.

Head Coach Sean Duffy praised the young Flyhalf for his selection, and pointed to his continued success as a sign of his growth. "Anton has gotten better and better each month he's been with us and he has a great future that we're excited about" said Duffy "this is a great honor for him and he's in great hands with the coaching staff there and a challenging two matches coming up."

The USA Under-19s will assemble in Chula Vista this week before their matches against Canada December 30th and January 2nd. Broadcast details will be made available shortly.
