Apr 10- Arizona continued their 2021 season on Friday, traveling to Phoenix for the return match against #15 Grand Canyon and looking to sweep the Lopes.

Always a tough out on the road, GCU looked good early and set out to take one from a Wildcat team that made ten changes from the side they saw two weeks prior. Luckily for the Wildcats, some of those changes showed immediate returns, including Freshman Center Abe Turpen's early linebreaks and a 29th-minute try on debut. Fellow Freshman Jacob Broselle scored twice, including one off of a stolen lineout by Freshman Lock Jack Brown. The youngsters helped the side to an early 31-0 lead that they would not relinquish, while also allowing the coaching staff to look at combinations for the stretch run. "It starts at the top with our defense. Defense coach Pat Coco did a great job getting them ready, and our veterans like Dan Hagan and Robert Figley helped us bring the overall product up a level for the first 60. We can be better, but this is growth. That's what we want at this time of year. Then to see our Freshmen along with guys who have been chomping at the bit like Lucas Agasse and Jack McCrossin really emerge, this is a great win and builds the depth while giving us some things to think about" said Director of Rugby Sean Duffy. A Jon Rogers double and a tactical kicking game from Figley paved the way to cement the victory and earn the Wildcats a key victory in their quest for a 2021 playoff berth.

The Wildcats move to 2-1 with the victory and return home April 17 to take on #4 BYU in a crucial contest. The match will be broadcast live on the FTF App as well as on FTFNext.com.
