Aug 19- One of Arizona's most prolific finishers has become the latest to make the jump to the professional ranks as the Dallas Jackals selected Kyle Fulton in the Major League Rugby Draft.

The Wing caps an incredible career in both Fifteens and Sevens for the Wildcats, and recently earned the nod for the USA Falcons assembly. Fulton was an All PAC-12 selection in 2020, and earned the team's Freshman of the Year award following the 2018 season. Fulton joined the Wildcats, signing with Arizona after a standout high school career with Marin Highlanders (CA).

The Jackals' selection was the first pick of the second round, making Fulton the second Wildcat to go to Dallas following Bronson Teles' selection in 2020. "I would like to thank all the people at the University of Arizona who helped make this dream of mine come true" said Fulton. "I'd like to thank Sean Duffy for putting me on the path to success and allowing me to be seen on such a high platform. My teammates, who kept me true and humble while laying their bodies on the line for me, and last but not least my parents for their never ending support in helping me achieve my goals."

"The league continues to grow, and we want to continue to pump players in to it when it fits with their personal and professional goals. To me Dallas is a great spot for him and having guys like his former teammate Bronson Teles there means I think our fans will also be Jackals fans now. Incredibly proud of Kyle and the work he's put in to set that example for our future generations, and it couldn't happen to a better more-deserving young man" said Director of Rugby Sean Duffy.

The Nutritional Science major from Corte Madera, California is the latest Wildcat to play in the burgeoning professional league, following Teles, Mason Pedersen (Austin), Ryan Matyas (San Diego), and Kyle Rogers (New Orleans). The 13-team league launched in 2018 with Dallas joining as an expansion franchise for their inaugural season in 2021. Last year's final was broadcast on Fox Sports, with this year's collegiate draft on FS2 for the first time.
