December 7- Arizona Rugby finalized their staff for the 2019 season today with Anthony Spencer making his return to the program and some minor changes to the coaching team.
Head Coach Sean Duffy in his sixth season with the program has rounded out the staff with the addition of the 2014 All American who will focus on skills and work with the team's reserve grade sides.
Patrick Coco returns to the sidelines for his sixth season and will oversee the team's defense, while Jarrett Bunnin steps in to the lead role overseeing contact and set piece. Bunnin steps in for Dr. Tyson Swetnam, who will be focusing on his role as a researcher in the Universty for the time being.
"We have had a great deal of continuity in the program in the past few years and that's been vital to our player development" said Duffy "we are thankful to have these great coaches on hand to pass down their knowledge to the next generation of Wildcats."
On the medical side, Dianne Goodridge returns as lead athletic trainer assisted by Elisa Guerra while Dr. Nathan Conlee starts his 28th season with the program as team doctor. "We are so blessed to have the medical support that we do for our players, and the standard of care that Dianne, Elisa, and Doc provide is first class" said Duffy.
The Wildcats currently sit at #11 in the national preseason rankings with a strong squad set to be announced tomorrow and the team's schedule for their 50th anniversary season coming soon.
