Ben Scoular (L) and Kyle Rogers (R) hope to represent the Wildcats well on the national stage again.

Oct 25- The 2016 PAC Rugby Sevens Championship has formally announced this year's broadcast partner, with the PAC-12 Network covering this year's event next month. The two-day showcase of the conference's top talent will feature live coverage of Sunday's matches from Pima County Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Arizona.

This is the second straight year that the network has broadcast the event, with the rise in profile from the Olympics bringing a wave of growth to the sport. "We are excited to partner once again with such a respected broadcast partner in the PAC-12 Network, and we hope to make this the best event yet" said Arizona Head Coach Sean Duffy "with the beautiful sunny weather, the three day weekend with the holiday, and some of the best teams in the nation from some of our country's top universities, this will be a tremendous weekend for everyone. The University of Arizona is excited to partner with the city of Tucson in this effort to put together a fantastic experience for fans, teams, and corporate partners."

This year will be the second straight year that the network has signed on for the tournament, having carried the event last year from the University of California-Berkeley which was won by the host Bears. The event's move to Tucson is part of a two-year rotation for the tournament, with Arizona slated to host the showcase in 2016 and 2017.

The Wildcats will look to build on the momentum gained this week in California, where they won the 2016 West Coast Sevens for the first time in program history. The PAC conference was represented well on the weekend, with Arizona State, Cal, UCLA, and Utah all emerging from the tournament with winning records.

Ticketing and schedule information will be released shortly.
